The Beginning
Monica spent over two decades as a hairstylist, building relationships and an eye for what makes people feel their best. When she looked around her community, she saw great people — and a real gap in their options. The nearest places to shop were Target, Kohl's, and JCPenney. Nothing that felt personal. Nothing that felt like her.
The name Coconut Grove wasn't chosen by accident. It's a feeling as much as a place — the kind of easy, sun-warmed, salt-in-the-air vibe that makes you slow down and breathe. Monica wanted to bring that spirit to every product on the shelf and every person who walks through the door.
What started on the river in Washington, Missouri has grown into something bigger: a community of women who believe that your home and your wardrobe should make you feel good every single day.

We've also donated to Alzheimer's awareness and research efforts — a cause that hits close to home for Monica, who lost her grandfather to the disease.
